Business & System Analyst (Enterprise Platforms)

Istanbul Headquarters
Full-time
3-6 Years of Experience

About This Role

About Beakwise

Beakwise builds enterprise-grade software products and delivery capabilities for large organizations. Financial services is our primary focus today (insurance, banking, payments), and we are intentionally expanding our reputation as a trusted technology vendor for large enterprises across industries.

The opportunity

This role is for someone who likes turning messy reality into buildable clarity:

  • Business goals that sound simple
  • Systems that are not simple
  • Stakeholders who want speed and certainty at the same time

If you enjoy being the person who makes everyone's plan more precise (and more realistic), you will do well here.

About the role

We're hiring a Business & System Analyst with 2–5 years of experience who is comfortable going beyond classic "requirements writing."

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineers to:

  • Run discovery and workshops
  • Translate needs into clear, buildable specifications
  • Define workflows, data, and integration behavior
  • Keep scope, assumptions, and edge cases visible as delivery moves forward

You are not expected to code. You are expected to be technical enough to make engineers trust the spec and business leaders trust the outcome.

Required Qualifications

Must have

  • 2–5 years of hands-on Business Analysis or System Analysis experience
  • Proven track record translating business needs into technical specifications
  • Comfort working with technical concepts: APIs, workflows, data models, integrations
  • Strong analytical mindset and love for complex systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Big plus experience (highly valued)

Domain experience in any of these areas is a strong advantage because they bring real complexity in workflows, data, integrations, and controls:

  • Insurance (policy, claims, underwriting, billing, distribution, reinsurance concepts)
  • Banking / fintech (onboarding, lending, KYC processes, digital channels, core integrations)
  • Payments / PSP ecosystems (merchant onboarding, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, fraud workflows)
  • Automotive and mobility (dealer networks, financing, aftersales workflows, fleet, integration-heavy enterprise operations)

Also a big plus:

  • Regulatory familiarity (KYC, AML, GDPR, operational resilience expectations)
  • Strong SQL and comfort validating assumptions with real data
  • Requirements management maturity (traceability, change control, clean Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps practices)
  • Ability to produce clear diagrams and artifacts (UML, process flows, journey maps, system specs)

Languages

  • English is mandatory
  • Any European or Asian language is a big plus (for example German, French, Dutch, Arabic, Russian, Uzbek, Kazakh, and others)
  • Turkish is a plus, but not required

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as PMI-PBA or CBAP (or progress toward them)
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with cloud and modern architecture concepts (AWS/Azure, microservices)
  • Experience in a product, R&D, or fast-moving engineering environment

Key Responsibilities

What you'll do

Translate business needs into buildable specifications

  • Lead requirement workshops and discovery sessions
  • Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs that remove ambiguity
  • Identify edge cases early and prevent "surprises" late in the cycle

Think in systems and data

  • Map workflows end-to-end (happy path and real path)
  • Define data entities, validation rules, and ownership
  • Translate business rules into decision logic that can be implemented and tested

Work comfortably with engineering teams

  • Read API documentation, discuss integration contracts, and clarify system behavior
  • Review data models and understand schema-level impacts (SQL is a strong plus)
  • Collaborate on non-functional requirements: performance, security, auditability, resiliency

Drive measurable operational improvement

  • Analyze processes to find bottlenecks, loops, handoff friction, and rework
  • Propose improvements tied to outcomes: fewer touches, shorter cycle time, higher straight-through rate, fewer exceptions
  • Support roadmap shaping with evidence, not opinions

Bring structure to delivery

  • Use tools effectively (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Keep a clean trail of decisions, assumptions, and changes
  • Support testing readiness with clear acceptance criteria and traceability

What We Offer

What we offer

  • Strategic impact: shape how enterprise platforms are designed and delivered
  • Challenging work: complex workflows, real integrations, real operational consequences
  • Strong technical environment: modern tools, strong engineering practices, and a team that cares about craft
  • Growth: mentorship, expanding scope, and a path to ownership as you level up
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and responsibility

How to apply

Please share:

  • Your CV/resume
  • Specific examples of how you have used technology to solve business problems
  • Optional but appreciated: samples/portfolio of requirement documents, process flows, or system specifications you created

Kind request: Please complete your application via our careers page. It is a short, simple form and takes about the same effort as LinkedIn Easy Apply. The application link is included in this job post.

Beakwise is an equal opportunity employer. If you meet most of the requirements and you're excited about the role, apply anyway.
